I work remotely with companies in the Netherlands that move goods across Europe or coordinate operations from a Dutch base: distributors, logistics and warehousing firms, European headquarters of foreign groups and ambitious export-led SMEs. Most have outgrown a local accounting package plus spreadsheets. I keep no Dutch office, so we work together through online sessions, shared files and English-language documentation.
My role covers process analysis and requirements, an independent shortlist drawn from platforms like Odoo, Business Central, Zoho or ERPNext, guidance during the build and improvement once you are live. On the growth side I handle organic search, visibility in AI answers, paid campaigns and B2B lead flow, with every inquiry traced into the CRM so you can judge each channel by pipeline.
With major seaport and airport gateways, Dutch companies often store, process and ship goods for customers in other EU countries. Warehouse accuracy, customs data and cross-border delivery flows tend to dominate ERP requirements.
Non-EU sellers importing into the Netherlands sometimes work with a fiscal representative for VAT. The ERP must record who is liable for what on each flow, as agreed with the company's tax advisor.
EU policy is moving toward structured electronic invoices and more digital reporting, and Peppol is an established network for exchanging them. A new platform should be able to send and receive structured invoices.
English is widely used in Dutch international business, which suits a remote, English-language engagement. Where Dutch is needed for staff or documents, the client's own team or a local partner covers it.

No. I am a single independent consultant, and nothing in my practice is based in the Netherlands. Discovery calls, workshops, design reviews, test support and training all run online during the Dutch working day, with a written log of decisions and open questions.
The engagement runs in English. If some users or documents need Dutch, such as invoice layouts, delivery notes or end-user training, Dutch speakers in your team or a partner you appoint cover that part, and I make sure the system is set up to support those templates and translations.
Yes, that structure suits remote work well. I help separate what the Dutch entity needs locally from what the parent wants in group reporting, then design entities, intercompany flows and approvals that cover both. VAT and fiscal questions stay with your tax advisor.
Yes. I review technical health, content and AI search visibility for the markets you sell into, and plan paid campaigns where the economics make sense. Because many Dutch firms sell across borders, I also look at language versions and how each country site is targeted.
