What does an Odoo CRM consultant do for a Swedish company?
An Odoo CRM consultant sets up the sales pipeline inside Odoo so that a Swedish lead becomes a quotation, a sales order and an invoice in one database. For engineering suppliers and consumer goods brands that means quotes that see stock and lead times, kronor and euro pricelists, Swedish templates checked by native speakers and consent rules agreed with your advisor. I do this remotely and independently of Odoo.

A Swedish component maker or consumer brand seldom needs a CRM on its own. A buyer at a machinery maker asks for a price, a delivery week and a drawing revision; a retail chain asks for next season's assortment. When the answer depends on stock, production capacity and agreed customer prices, the pipeline is more useful inside the ERP than next to it.
I work with sales and operations leads at Swedish companies that run Odoo or plan to, and all of it is remote. The engagement runs in English. I design stages, teams, activities and quotation templates, and agree which customer-facing texts your Swedish-speaking staff or a local partner write and check before buyers see them.
Each piece below can be scoped on its own or combined, depending on whether you are starting Odoo or repairing a pipeline nobody trusts.
I assess whether your pipeline belongs in Odoo CRM or in a separate CRM connected to Odoo, judged by how much each quote depends on stock, production slots and customer-specific prices.
Stages with written entry criteria, activity types for calls, samples and drawing reviews, and planned follow-ups, so domestic and export sellers record opportunities the same way.
Templates with optional lines, delivery terms and payment text in Swedish and English, drafted from your material and checked by native speakers on your team before anyone sends them.
Kronor pricelists for domestic buyers, euro or other currency lists for export customers, and customer agreements, plus a rule for who may override a price on a quote.
Turning your advisor's reading of GDPR and Swedish marketing rules into Odoo fields, mailing list subscriptions, opt-out handling and a record of where each contact came from.
Campaign, medium and source values that follow a lead from your website or ads to the confirmed order, so marketing spend can be set against won revenue in kronor.
How Swedish deals are really won
Sandbox with real opportunities
First weeks of live selling
The argument for Odoo CRM is not that it beats every standalone CRM on features. It is that the opportunity, the quotation, the sales order, the delivery and the invoice are records in a single database. For a Swedish supplier of machined parts, fittings or consumer goods, a seller can check stock, open purchase orders and the customer's payment history while the buyer is still on the phone.
I use a few questions to decide whether the pipeline should live in Odoo:
If the answers point away from Odoo, I say so. The Zoho CRM page for Sweden covers a separate-CRM route, and my general Odoo CRM page explains the product itself.
Most of the value of Odoo CRM in a Swedish product business shows up after the opportunity, when the seller presses the button that creates a quotation. That quotation draws on Odoo Sales, so the design work is about products and prices as much as pipeline stages.
Once confirmed, the order drives delivery and invoicing. Peppol delivery to public buyers and Swedish VAT treatment are handled on the finance side, which I cover on the Odoo Accounting page for Sweden. In the CRM I make sure the data those steps need is present when a deal is marked won.
Odoo offers a Swedish interface translation, and contacts can carry a preferred language so quotations and emails go out in that language. How complete the translation is varies by module and version, so I check the screens your sellers will actually use rather than assuming every label is covered.
Customer-facing text is a separate job. Quotation templates, order confirmations, email templates and terms of sale are written in Swedish by your staff, a translator or a local partner, and checked by a native speaker who knows your products. My role is structural:
Legal terms deserve particular care. General terms of sale, warranty wording and delivery conditions should come from your lawyer or industry association template, not from a consultant's draft. I simply make sure the right version is attached to the right quote. This division keeps the project moving in English while everything a Swedish buyer reads is correct in Swedish.
A CRM holds personal data: names, roles, phone numbers, email history and notes from meetings. GDPR applies to all of it, and Swedish marketing law adds rules on electronic marketing that generally treat private individuals differently from contacts at companies. Where your own line falls, for example for sole traders, is a question for your privacy advisor or lawyer. I do not make that call.
What I do is build the decision into Odoo so it is applied every time:
Hosting is part of the same discussion. Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and self-hosting place data differently, and your advisor may have views on where a Swedish customer database should sit. I document the options and the evidence for each, and leave the decision with you.
The CRM app itself is part of Odoo Community, so pipelines, activities and basic reporting are available without an Enterprise subscription. Several features that sales teams value, such as telephony integration, electronic signature on documents, the Studio customization tool and some reporting views, have been Enterprise-only in recent versions. The split changes between versions, so confirm it with Odoo or the partner for the version you will run.
Odoo CRM is a weaker choice for a Swedish team when:
I am not an Odoo partner, I resell no licenses and I take no commissions, so the recommendation follows your situation. For the wider platform question see Odoo consultant Sweden, the ERP consultant Sweden page and the Sweden hub. If a CRM decision sits inside a bigger change, my CRM consulting service covers the requirements work before any configuration.

If quotes depend on stock, production capacity or customer agreement prices already held in Odoo, Odoo CRM usually avoids duplicate data. If marketing automation and a large inside-sales team drive revenue, a dedicated CRM connected to Odoo may fit better. I compare both against your actual sales process.
Yes. Contacts can carry a preferred language, and templates and product descriptions can be translated. Swedish copy is drafted or proofread by people who write Swedish natively, inside your company or at a local partner, and every new template passes a review before sellers can pick it.
No software does that by itself. Your privacy advisor decides how GDPR and Swedish marketing rules apply to your contacts, including sole traders and company addresses. I then configure fields, mailing lists, opt-outs and source records in Odoo so that decision is applied the same way every time.
The CRM app is available in Community. Some features around it, such as telephony, electronic signature and certain reports, have been Enterprise-only in recent versions. I check the exact split for your version with you and confirm it with Odoo or the partner before you commit.
Yes. Workshops, configuration reviews and training take place over video during the Swedish working day, and the engagement runs in English. Swedish-language material is reviewed by your own staff. Visits can be discussed by arrangement if a workshop on site would genuinely help the project.
Every business is different. Share where you are today and what you want to fix, and I’ll tell you honestly whether and how I can help.
